[ENG] Redefining the Balance of Power in West Asia through Iran’s Response to Zionist Aggression

In recent decades, the Zionist regime—backed unconditionally by the United States—has consistently sought to subdue the Islamic Republic of Iran through threats, assassinations, psychological warfare, and acts of sabotage. Projects of “maximum pressure,” paralyzing sanctions, and repeated threats of military intervention were all designed to contain Iran’s growing power and constrain its peaceful nuclear program. However, recent developments have shown that these strategies have not only failed but have ultimately backfired.

Operation True Promise 3 marked a turning point in the strategic equations of West Asia. This military campaign was Iran’s direct and forceful response to the Zionist regime’s blatant act of aggression and terrorism targeting Iranian military advisors. But Iran’s response was far from routine—it represented the first broad and direct strike against the heart of the occupied territories by a regional power. Utilizing precision-guided missiles and strategic drones, Iran managed to challenge Israel’s military-security architecture and dismantle the myth of its invincible air defense systems.

Tel Aviv, long positioned as the primary regional threat, was exposed for the first time as a vulnerable and beleaguered target. International media and military analysts acknowledged that, for the first time in decades, a regional country not only neutralized Israel’s threats but effectively and openly retaliated. This development constituted not merely a military shift, but a profound psychological and political blow to the Zionist regime.

Beyond the battlefield, Operation True Promise 3 conveyed a powerful strategic message to the world: Iran is no longer a passive or purely reactive actor. It now redefines the rules of engagement as an assertive and capable regional power. The operation’s meticulous planning, precise timing, and effective public communication reflected the maturity of a state with both regional and global capabilities. Iran now dictates its own red lines, rather than merely responding to those imposed by others.

Within this framework, the psychological collapse of domestic mercenaries and foreign-backed opposition groups—such as the MEK (Mujahedin-e-Khalq), monarchists, and pro-Israel and pro-American exiles—was one of the operation’s most significant outcomes. For years, these groups had tried to destabilize Iranian society by fueling fears of an “imminent Israeli or American attack.” But Iran’s demonstration of deterrent power and operational initiative left them further marginalized and discredited.

In parallel, the supportive or sympathetic reactions from regional states signaled a profound geopolitical shift. Countries such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, and even certain Arab Gulf states expressed, either openly or implicitly, their approval of Iran’s response. This emerging alignment highlights the waning effectiveness of American and Zionist dominance in the region and the growing strategic reach of the Axis of Resistance.

Political analysts believe this shift may pave the way for the gradual withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region and reduce Arab states’ reliance on Western security umbrellas. When even conservative Arab governments either remain silent or express support for Iran’s bold response, it becomes evident that the era of U.S.-Israeli dictates in the region is drawing to a close.

In conclusion, Operation True Promise 3 should be understood not merely as a military retaliation but as a strategic political statement from the Islamic Republic of Iran. It declared that Iran, relying on national will, regional strategic depth, and indigenous military capabilities, has entered a new phase of global influence.

Israel, which for decades ruled through fear and terror, now finds itself engulfed in a crisis of legitimacy, security weakness, and growing international isolation. From now on, no act of Zionist adventurism will go unanswered. With national strength and domestic unity, Iran—bearing the flag of resistance—is shaping a path toward independence, dignity, and regional empowerment.
